SecondLine Gumbo—or just Gumbo, as most people call it—is a solid premium WordPress theme made by SecondLineThemes. It’s built specifically for podcasters, vloggers, and anyone in the audio space. The main selling point here is how simple it makes managing your audio tracks. Plus, you get tons of design freedom and it plays really well with major external podcast hosts.
Let’s Talk About Gumbo Features
Since Gumbo is tailored for podcasters, it skips the usual layout headaches. First off, the built-in audio player is completely responsive. You can basically drop it wherever you want—whether that’s your homepage, the main episode list, or just a single post.
Embedding stuff is also zero-fuss. If your audio or video lives on Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud, Libsyn, or Podbean, you literally just paste the link and move on. No extra plugins needed.
On top of that, you get ready-made layouts to show off your hosts or guests without designing from scratch. And don’t worry about distribution either. The theme generates its own RSS feeds right out of the box, so pushing your show to Apple Podcasts or other directories is pretty much painless.
